Did you miss March 8 - International Women's Day? You can still get involved throughout March and April. Join hands with women around the world as we celebrate this day and come together to make a difference.
Reach out to your friends, share some time and make a commitment to help another woman who needs you. We have one goal for this day of action: to take a concrete step in ending the poverty and isolation women face around the world.
Difficult? Immensely. Impossible? Hardly. But we need your help. Can you take just one of the following actions?
- Walk. Or donate to our first annual “WOW! Walk for Women”
Our first annual walk on March 8 was awesome! Several hundred women, men and children came out on International Women's Day to walk in solidarity with women around the world, and raise funds to help make their lives better. You can still make a donation to the walk - click here!
- Organize. Gather some friends together for a cause
Invite some friends for some together time and ask them to join you in making a commitment to help another woman across the globe - WOW... Look what women can do!
- Recognize. Honor a woman you admire by helping another woman across the globe
Give a gift in honor of a woman you care about, and help a woman who really needs it. In the comments box, please tell us who you would like to honor and their contact information.
- Share. Tell five of your friends about International Women’s Day
Forward an email to five women you know.
WOW! is a World Neighbors initiative to raise awareness about the issues women in poor, rural communities face and do something about it. WOW! supports the work of social change – inspiring people and strengthening communities to improve the lives of women and their families around the world.
