EMPOWERMENT
The goal of supporting local empowerment underlies all of World Neighbors work. The people in the areas we work in define their most urgent priorities and set their own agenda. Planning methods are used to ensure that all concerned groups in a community, including women from these groups, have a voice. World Neighbors program leaders help communities recognize the root causes of their problems and develop appropriate plans of action. Our goal is to encourage and empower people to succeed by acting together to solve their problems.
