Work of Woman

WOW! (Work of Women) is a membership organization at World Neighbors that mobilizes people in support of efforts to improve lives of women and their families in the villages with which World Neighbors works. WOW! does this through education and awareness raising, advocacy and involvement activities and financial donations from members.

And members of WOW! are making a difference! With a commitment to improving women's lives in poor, rural villages around the globe and in keeping with World Neighbors approach of listening to local people and encouraging their empowerment, WOW! members play an important role in building people's awareness of problems, advocating for policy and action when appropriate and supporting villagers' work financially. 

Membership fees and donations support World Neighbors work in local community development in some of the poorest regions of the world, and improve the lives of women and their families.

By joining together in this work, our individual efforts are multiplied and truly create change. WOW! members support women in World Neighbors program sites as they build skills, community trust and better living conditions. Women are encouraged and helped to join together for development work that moves them beyond subsistence, improves their and their families' health and inspires increased participation and leadership in their villages and beyond. Involvement with this work changes our lives as well.
